Agga’s Music Too Nice to Ignore

They say the apple does not fall far from the tree and that couldn’t be far from the truth about Agga. For those who do not know, Agga Nyabinde is the son to the Chabuda hapana hit maker Bob Nyabinde. Many called him the headmaster as he was indeed a headmaster, literally. The name however, ended spreading like a veld fire to his music too. The fans ended up calling him the headmaster of music. Much to expectation, his son Agga took after his father and is continuing his father’s legacy of quality music. He is set to drop a brand-new album on the 3oth of April 2024 at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare.

Following this launch, Agga held a Press Conference in Harare recently to publicly announce his 4th album launch. The album title and some details were unveiled during the press conference. So far known to the public is that the album bears the title, Honai which means look and see. The press conference was covered by various media houses representatives and had very insightful discussions around his journey in music. The award-winning Afro Fusion and Afro-Jazz super star revealed that his album has got 11 songs in total. He also emphatically highlighted that of the 11 songs, 2 were soulful dedications to his late father, legendary Bob Nyabinde.

About The Songs

These 2 tracks are titled Chisingaurayi and Garai Neni, with the former being Bob Nyabinde’s composition. Unfortunately, he died without fulfilling his wish of recording his song with his son. The latter is an emotional and touching hymn. He always asked his sons to sing it to him whenever he felt spiritual and wanted to pray. Garai neni also features his brother Sir Albert. The title track Honai, is one of the big songs to look out for on the album. It’s a song which prepares an individual to work hard and achieve in order to leave a legacy. A Simon Chimbetu rendition SaMatenga, is also an icing on the cake.

The other artists Agga collaborated with are, Mbeu, Samasamba and Dorcas and Precious who are also part of the 2 Nice Band.
